Unveiling ExplorerX: A Radical new way of travel and exploration
The goal for Explorer X was to design an intuitive mobile application that enables the user to search and book interplanetary flights easily. The application had to be visually compelling and easy to use. We wanted to create a user experience that seamlessly guided individuals through booking flights to new destinations, Earth, Mars and the Moon. This required looking beyond the conventional design frameworks and taking into consideration factors such as variable travel times due to celestial orbits and other space travel logistics. The user needs to use this new application as they would with any other travel booking app.

This project was definitely a whirlwind, there was a lot (and I mean alot) of out of the box thinking. Never have I ever designed anything like this before.

It was challenging building an app that doesn’t exist yet or have competitor to study, nor having much knowledge about space and even less so, space travel. The challenge was fun though, I enjoyed brainstorming and finally having a tangible product that I can be proud of that meets the needs of the potential user.
